Getting started with Hops

Welcome! This guide walks you step by step through setting up Hops for your venue. Everything runs in under 15 minutes.

1. Step 1

   Create account

   Go to hopsapp.nl and click "Request entry". Fill in your name, email and a strong password. You'll receive a confirmation email to activate your account.

   Tips

   • Use a business email so colleagues recognise you easily.

   • You automatically get a 14-day free trial — no credit card required.

2. Step 2

   Enter company details

   After logging in you land in the Admin portal. Fill in your company name, address and opening hours here. These details are used across all modules, from cash close to scheduling.

   Tips

   • Set opening hours accurately — scheduling and checklists factor them in.

   • Add special days (holidays, vacation) so the system auto-adjusts.

3. Step 3

   Add staff

   Add team members via Admin > Staff. Each member gets an email invitation with a link to set their password and log in directly.

   Tips

   • Assign roles: owner, manager or staff. Each role has different permissions.

   • Create departments (kitchen, bar, floor) to organise your team clearly.

4. Step 4

   Activate modules

   Pick which modules to use via Admin > Modules & Access. Activate only what you need — you can add more modules later. Set per staff member which modules they can access.

   Tips

   • Start with 2-3 modules and expand once your team is used to the system.

   • Checklists and Hours are the most popular modules to start with.

5. Step 5

   Off you go!

   Everything is set up! Your staff can now log in via their own account. The dashboard shows all active modules with live status badges. Every module is accessible as a separate app.
